April Rally Groups and Plan
Hi Riders,
We’re excited to see everyone at our April rally this Sunday, March 30! It’s shaping up to be a fantastic day! Please take a moment to review the following important information to ensure you’re well-prepared and attend the correct session. Please note that some groups are blended this month to ensure balanced group sizes.

Rally Groups
-
Grading and group placements are not an exact science, and we take into account a variety of factors, including the combination of horse and rider, the rider’s age, the size of the horse, and personal friendships. Additionally, riders’ abilities can vary across different disciplines. With these factors in mind, we work diligently to ensure that each rider is placed in a group where they can operate at a similar level, allowing everyone to learn, be challenged, and enjoy the rally.
-
Our groups are increasingly fluid and are reviewed monthly to ensure balanced group sizes. Whenever possible, we try to accommodate riders whose grading may vary depending on the discipline. However, please note that your rally group may sometimes be determined by your jumping grade.
-
While we are happy to consider all requests, we ask for your understanding that it’s not always feasible to place riders based on friendship groups.

-
Flat First
-
We understand that many riders prefer to have flat work first, before show jumping or cross country. However, this is not always possible. All classes will include a warm-up, but if you feel you need additional warm-up time, please arrive early and make use of the free flat arena.
-
It’s also important to note that in many competitions, your first event of the day may be show jumping or cross country. As such, it’s valuable competition preparation to learn how to manage your day, even when it doesn’t start with flat work.

In addtion to the rally plan, please note that groups have been prepared session by session. Your group may change each session, so please check where you have been placed in each session.
